When I first heard the term "donkey art" my initial reaction was that it sounded very cool. I seems to be an alternative to a type of rack that I was not familiar with. In fact, my first thought was for the song "Beast of Burden" Rolling Stones (for those not familiar with the song, the famous phrase is "I'll never be your beast of burden"). A little research on my part, revealed the features Attractions of this type of stand.
This is truly a unique and useful piece of furniture Art Studio. The concept is that you have things on your back (like a donkey). Or the Rolling Stones song suggests, can be your beast of burden. " You can also call a horse a pony art or art. A more generic term is "stand bank."
The donkey or a bank art easel is very useful if you want to sit while drawing and painting. Recently, sitting on an easel is more attractive, as many artists who are in my age group do not enjoy walking and painting as much as we did in the past. This could be done on a drawing board, but a bank stand up much less space in an art studio or painting. Many folding bench stands for portability or storage. They are made of wood or steel. Some even have a padded bench.
How it works:
The bank has a structure that is tilted perpendicular to your drawing or painting envelope. There are grooves on the surface of the bank to hold the sketchbook or canvas. The sketchbook or canvas can be tilted at different angles against this part perpendicular or vertical table to form an easel.
Many artists built their own easels bank, although the basic models are made of wood at reasonable prices in stores art. The art of steel horses or banks are more expensive but last longer. These and many times have the ability to adjust the stand in a variety of positions between them for use while standing or sitting, as well as other specialized functions such as adjustable leg levelers for uneven floors.
A trestle bench takes up less space in an art room or the study of a drawing board and is a great choice for anyone who can not stand up and painting or drawing for long periods of time in a traditional stand. Therefore, it is really a cool art studio furniture after all.
