Hello again, and thank you all for following this series fishing in Thailand. As I write this newsletter I'm in the UK attending shows fishing, meet old friends, getting drunk and freezing my nuts, while in Thailand, the heat wave continues. I'm sitting here with the man flu, feeling sorry for myself, and counting the days until you can return to paradise. In Krabi temperatures are at their highest level ever recorded. The stream that borders the lake is really dry for the first time in memory - nobody in our village has seen this current dry as southern Thailand experiences warm February after signing up. Jungle around us has changed from its usual lush green brown. Fortunately we have seven natural springs that feed the lake, and while they are running very slowly are helping to slow down the lake to a record low. We are pumping water into the lake of our welfare and next spring, but with all my staff Garden watering our gardens of seven acres per day are fighting a losing battle. Even George the turtle is struggling, can not be bothered to walk from the shadows at the top of the hill to the lake, so the other day we took a little water to it, and it actually took 3? liters of water without stopping, as Sean with Singha beer! Red tail catfish have also been slow this month due to shed their skin to make way for new growth. I would like to do what I grow, but I have to buy new skins! As the heat continues birdlife is displayed as all waters surrounding dry. It seems that we have a lot of birds fishing in the waters here, double the number of cave swallows come to drink, and some days the air is black with them. These are birds that nest with its saliva, which makes the bird's nest soup famous, so the next time getting into his chamber pot of soup, note was made Gillhams through and all that shit fish! We have also increased our hummingbirds visit flowers that are blooming due to continuous irrigation of the gardener. Jim had a big fry-then went and drove out in a quiet corner of the lake, where they proceeded to mislead the Arapaima into a false sense of security by pretending to sleep. This feat of angling was rewarded with a fine of 250 pounds arapaima after Jim retired and rested on his laurels for the day! Sean on the other hand slipped between the trees to find George, and then slept behind trees palm for the day, thinking they would not notice! Before Jim was booked a six-week trip at Christmas - top man Jimbo!
Another thing I should mention is "I will give a £ 100 tip for a arapaima" Neil. There was something else he said he would, but I can not mention that in a bulletin read by people normal, so all I'll say about it is that I'm glad it does not fulfill its promises!
