Saab's rich history of building high quality cars is an important reason why loyalists maintain their cars. Since the first Saab left Trollhattan, Sweden assembly line in 1947, the brand has enjoyed a cult following, as that remains strong today even though the company has gone through several ownership changes.
People who cling to his Saab for a long time often customize their cars accordingly. These modifications or "mods" to allow the owner to design a car that is unique to their needs while providing a level of satisfaction beyond the factory built experience.
