The computer vision syndrome is a serious problem for millions of people. Due to the long hours on computers, a large percentage of computer users (for a survey of 60% and 90%) are prone to Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). Usually develops after more than 2 hours on the computer and disappears if we stop working for several hours.
Main symptoms of CVS are:
Eyestrain (nonspecific ocular discomfort)
Vision distance blurred and the Near
Diplopia (double vision)
Dry or irritated eyes
Fatigue
Headache
Team Syndrome vision can be prevented by using some simple rules.
Keep a distance of 20-30 cm between the eyes and the computer
Use a size source of 12 to 14
Keep the pixel size as low as possible and blinking as high as possible on the computer
Purchase ergonomic furniture to ensure adequate distance from the screen and good posture, use of glasses with antiglare coating
You can prevent CVS take regular breaks during the work with computer. It would also be good to practice simple exercises eyes.
1. Look out the window or on a distant object for 20 seconds. Looking away relaxes muscles focus inside the eye to reduce fatigue.
2. Look at a distant object for 15-20 seconds, then look at something from about 15-20 seconds. Then look back at the distant object. Do this 10 times. This year keep your eyes ability to focus.
3. Take a sharp pencil and hold an arm's length. Focus your eyes on the pen tip and slowly bring it towards your eye. When you start seeing double, repeat.
