The eurohem designer is a hemming technique primarily used in hemming jeans for preserving the frayed edge and the original hem stitching, while that shortening of the jeans.
Here is how to do that!
Wear your jeans to determine how much you need to shorten. Fold the less than the length you want.
Check the bottom times with a pin.
Check and check both legs in a case is shorter than the other.
Remove the jeans. Measure the distance from the bolt on the top of the original hem stitching. NOT include the folded edge on this measure.
Example: From the pin at the bottom of the fold (the final length you want) to the top of the original hem stitching is equal to 2-1/2 inches.
Divide this amount by 2. Example: 2 -1 / 2 inches divided by 2 = 1-1/4 inches
Fold the bottom of the jeans on the outside who has the right sides.
Measured from the top of the original hem stitching to 1.2 that determines the amount necessary to shorten the jeans.
Example: In my example, this be 1-1/4 inches.
What is really going to do is take a plastic surgery on his right leg above the jeans line original edge.
Place a pin right next to the top of the original seam line. Measure around the leg jeans and pin to maintain the aesthetic in the right place next to the original hem stitching line.
Make sure it is smooth and measures the same all around the leg.
Note: If the flared jeans, the lower edge is greater than the width of the shorter leg.
You then throw open the original hem and reduce to meet the width of the new leg.
With a zipper foot on your machine, point of cosmetic surgery about the original seam line, eliminating pins as you come to them.
The original worn hem and stitching should be visible when finished.
Press the original edge down.
Press cosmetic surgery inside of the leg if less than one inch. If more, cut the extra fabric leaving about 3 / 4 inch to allow for wear. Click this material up in the leg.
On the outside of the leg, something in the ditch (well of the seam) in both the crotch seam and out of jeans to keep up the aesthetics of the leg.
Press well.
The jeans still have the original hem on the bottom and surgery aesthetics is not perceptible.
