You can easily increase the amount of netbook memory you have. The upgrade will double your RAM. Go from 1GB to 2GB of RAM. This way is compatible to almost all leading netbooks on the market.
There are some exception you should be aware of. First, be sure you buy the correct RAM. For the netbooks that require a slightly different process, you will have to invest a little more time.
Check carefully to determine the right RAM. If you get the wrong RAM you will not be able to accomplish this. Turn off the netbook and remove its battery.
Look at the bottom and locate the door where you access the memory. There you will see two metal tabs. Pull them away from the existing memory stick. You will see it pop up.
Take it out, then insert the new larger one. Line up the pins carefully or it will not go in. Look for the sticker on the bottom and it will show you which end to insert. Push in the new 2GB RAM until you hear the clips click into place.
Next put the cover back on. Now you are ready to reinsert the battery and boot up. When using XP, it will automatically recognize the new RAM. That completes the upgrading process.
