Simplify your selection of glasses
Let's face it, at one time or another, almost everyone can benefit from a pair of glasses. Some of us need vision correction at an early age while others do very well without glasses until later in life. It is a very safe statement to say that at one point in life, you will benefit from glasses.
You have accepted the fact that a pair of glasses only help you, now how do you make your way through all available styles to choose from? Let's break it down into easy decisions to help out.
For starters, when are you going to where the glasses? If you suffer from myopia, farsightedness or astigmatism is likely to be wearing his glasses much of the time (or at least when you want to see without contact lenses). On the other hand, if you only require correction for reading, may be looking for a totally different style of the structure.
Eye wear occurs in two major families of materials, metals and plastics (also known as zyls). Metal frames are usually a bit more flexible and subtle. Zyl frames can be produced in just about any color and shape imaginable. Yes, there are other frame materials available, such as wood composites and hybrids, but in general will decide between the lens and metal Zyl frames. For the sake of making decisions, we refer to rimless frames and semi-rimless as metals as most of them are composed of base metal temples and nose pieces.
Plastic frames usually have a bridge type of seat that fits securely over the nose, while metal frames come with adjustable nose pads. Bridge style decision should be based on the rest of the structure, unless you know still do not want nose pads, for example. In that case, you want plastic frames. Was not an easy decision?
From there you will have to consider the context and the target forms. A good rule of thumb is to match with the shape of your face with the top of the frame. At least start and based on how it looks, you can try some other pairs.
This information is enough to start and help you determine what style of eyeglass frame that works best for you. Remember that, ultimately, have fun with your glasses. If desired, an elegant and refined pair of rimless frames for serious times, and is perfectly fine to get a little wild and crazy with some fun and color specifications whenever you want.
