Contact lenses and their effects
The irritation may occur as a result of lens wear, excessive wear of lenses, poor care of lenses, intolerance to solutions, or infections. Irritation can also occur because of lack of hygiene by the lens wearer.
If you use more time the recommended or people whose eyes are particularly sensitive, the lenses may develop deposits on the surface of the lenses and cause irritation.
One of the leading cause of blindness eye infections is to spit in a contact lens or lens put in my mouth when no solution is available. This happens when a user contact lenses must remove a lens or lens of the eye drops and there is no solution available. The best prevention is to have a small bottle of solution you soak at all times. Never, never put your contact lenses in the mouth to lubricate.
Some people use homemade solutions or contact lens saline solution in an effort to save money. These solutions may cause severe irritation or blinding infections (some are not sterile saline) and should never be used. Use always the right solution for contact lenses as recommended by the installer. To change solutions, they must first consult with your installer, as some solutions may be incompatible with certain objectives
It is not unusual to have some general irritation, including redness, at the beginning of contact lenses. However, persistent redness, sensitivity to light, pain and blurred vision are the main signs and symptoms of possible eye problems. Depending on the cause, symptoms vary in intensity. In More serious infections, the pupil of the infected (red) of the eye may be smaller than the other student.

Corneal infections are of major concern. These infections cause redness, light sensitivity, vision blurred, and a variable degree of pain. Occasionally, it is possible that the lens wearer to see the infection, which may appear as a white spot on the surface of the eye. These infections require immediate evaluation and care. Infections can be secondary to contaminated solutions, poor hygiene, contaminated drinking water, dirty or contact lens cases.
When a lens slides off the surface of the eye, vision is blurred immediately, which may or may not be associated with a feeling something under the upper eyelid. If you can not move the lens into position in the eye, you may need to seek the advice of your installer.
